Greening our Infrastructure

HGC Construction is proud to announce its role in greening the infrastructure of Greater Cincinnati. HGC is working together with the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, the Cincinnati Museum Center and the Civic Garden Center to implement source control solutions to reduce storm water from entering the combined sewer system.

HGC Construction, a leading builder in the urban renaissance taking place in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine, has won Cincinnati Preservation Association Awards for three historic renovation projects in the Queen City: Parvis Lofts on Vine, Saengerhalle on Race Street and Hughes Center. The awards were presented to the project teams at the Preservation Association meeting in November.

HGC Construction assembles Nutcracker at the Zoo

On November 2nd, HGC Construction assembled the 30-foot-tall animal nutcracker at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for the 29th annual PNC Festival of Lights. The rhino, which consists of five parts, was assembled using a crane and lift bucket.

HGC Construction Continues to grow, hire

HGC Construction, a leader in sustainable construction and the leading builder in Cincinnati’s urban renaissance continues to grow. The company has hired four new employees at its headquarters in Walnut Hills: Pamela Roebel, Director of Marketing; Paul Sheckels, Senior Project Manager, Jacob Schneider, Project Engineer; Ryan Burt, Project Engineer .

Pamela Roebel joins HGC Construction with seven years of marketing and development experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. In her position as Marketing Director, Ms. Roebel is responsible for media and public relations, branding and positioning for the company.

Pamela holds a Bachelor of Administration in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati.

Paul Sheckels joins the HGC Construction team as a Senior Project Manager. Mr. Sheckels brings with him 36 years of project management experience in the industrial, education, government and health care industries. He provides full project management from conception through completion on projects small and large, while working closely with clients to ensure success.

Paul is an avid volunteer and United States Army Veteran. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Cincinnati.

Jacob Schneider comes to HGC Construction as a Project Engineer. Mr. Schneider has extensive experience in renovation projects, which lends itself well to HGC Construction’s growing list of clients with renovation needs. He has a proven history of managing quality on-time, on-budget projects.

Jacob has both a Bachelor of Science and Associate of Science degree in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing LEED Professional Credentials.

Ryan Burt also joins HGC Construction as a Project Engineer. Mr. Burt has seven years of experience overseeing large projects in the commercial building industry and brings with him strong communication and project coordination skills.

Ryan has both a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associate Degree of Science in Construction Technologies from Northern Kentucky University.
