Cincinnati Zoo
Cincinnati, OH
HGC has served as the general Contractor on many of the existing
facilities around our nationally renown zoo . HGC has constructed
the Komodo Dragon Facility, the Cat House, the Bald Eagle Shelter,
the Sea Eagle Shelter, the Jungle Trails West Building, the main
entrance and the Wetlands Deck system. HGC originally constructed
the zoo’s railroad. HGC laid the track and constructed the
support and elevated railway and maintains them to this day.
Working at the Zoo poses many exciting challenges. Unique building
materials, unconventional detailing and innovative techniques are
often required to build facilities that replicate the animals’ habitats
while still making them accessible to visitors. HGC employed all
our talents to arrive at creative solutions.
HGC also served as general trades contractor on the Bird House,
Jungle Trails exhibits, Manatee Facility, and the Children’s
Gift shop.
