Structural Repair
Holy Cross Church of the Immaculata
Cincinnati, OH
HGC worked closely with the structural engineer and owner to install
structural columns at the weakened truss locations for this historic
structure atop Mt. Adams. Specially
fabricated gusset plates and reinforcements were installed on the
trusses to repair the wood members. To keep the historical character
of the church, our millwork shop created new column ornamentation
for the base and capitals of each of the new interior columns.
The capitals were new plaster cast replicas of existing details.
This project received an award from The Cincinnati Preservation
Association.
