March 2010
Here is an update of what has gone on at the Hughes Center Project during the month of March. Replacement of the existing elevator in the classical building began in March and should be completed in April. The two new elevators are 95% complete. A majority of the flooring has been installed throughout the classical building leaving a couple miscellaneous areas to complete. Two bathrooms on the Krueck Center first floor have been tiled, and the remaining flooring on the first floor of the Krueck will begin to be installed in April. The Krueck Center gym floor has been sanded and refinished. VCT flooring was also installed in the south cafeteria. Final painting has continued throughout the classical building and the first and second coats will start going on in the Krueck Center in April. Punch list work has also continued with the ground floor classrooms punched out and locked up for furniture move in during the beginning of the summer.
