New Building — Over the past month the new building has started to come out of the ground. ⅔ of the piers have been drilled and set, and ⅓ of the footings have been placed. All excavation has been completed to rough grade. With in the next week the masons will begin laying block for the new building. Once the building rises above the rough grade we'll bring the earth to its designed elevations.
Existing building — The plasterers are working to renovate all the existing walls inside the building. They are patching the plaster and are about ¼ way through the building. Painters have been working on stripping and refinishing the existing wood work throughout the building. Finishes are starting to go up in the existing building, and last week they starting running track for the new partition walls. Once all the walls are erected, the electrician and mechanical contractor will rough them in and then we will start to fasten drywall.
The roofers are about 95% done with the shingle roof and are ready to start the membrane roof. Restoration of the exterior brick and stone has begun on the existing building. Many spots throughout the building need some tuckpointing to the existing brick to bring back it back to its original state.
